Painter Vladimir Kolomiets

In the today review I would like to introduce you another interesting person: painter Vladimir Kolomiets. He is Crimean by the origin – he was born at the settlement Andreevka (not far from Sevastopol). Now he lives and makes his works in two cities: Sevastopol and St. Petersburg.

May be some of our readers are known with this Master. When I’ve saw his paintings, it was a real “love from the first sight”, now I try to show to you my impressions. And all the more, on the July 12^th the exhibition of Vladimir’s canvas will be presented at the Information Supermarket “The Atrium”.

“The City of Sevastopol (Ukraine) situated at the south-east part of the Crimean peninsula. It was founded in accordance with the Royal Decree of great Russian empress Catherine the 2nd in 1783. During the ancient world at the territory of modern Sevastopol was situated an ancient-Greek colony Chersonesus Taurica. This colony was established in the 6th century BC by settlers from Heraclea Pontica. At present time Sevastopol is one of the biggest non-freezing commercial and fishing port, industrial, scientific and technical, recreational and historic center. In Sevastopol is situated the naval base of the Black Sea Fleet by Russian Federation (in accordance with the Black Sea Fleet Base Agreement between Russia and Ukraine it is valid up to 2042) and also the Ukrainian naval Base.”

… All this information and other statistic data including geographic coordinates, square kilometers of territory, population, maritime boundaries size etc. could be easily found at any encyclopedia or through the Internet search. All these are facts: solid, reliable, incontestable, evident and stable facts. But are you sure, that our life is so permanent and stable all over the time?! Is everything in our environment so permanent and unchangeable? Indeed, could the life be scheduled and charted out in any encyclopedia, even in a perfect one?! The same is about our Sevastopol – it is the life, it is the world - the unceasing world, which moving and varying every day. It can rejoice and shine under the spring sunlight, being sad during sleety Crimean winter and fall into melancholy under the cover of morning mist. Thousands windows transform it into the magic kaleidoscope where moving endlessly, mixing and disintegrating again, small colorful glasses – its' inhabitants.

Once it was said: “World, where we’re all live, is a magic place;…every city is a consecrated labyrinth”

And we provide you, dear friends, provide you a trip inside this labyrinth, a look into this kaleidoscope. Let’s do it together and may be later you would like to repeat it yourselves, not only in the virtual, but also in the real life. But we can’t guarantee, that after your return you’ll find everything at the same places and in the same states and conditions, as in previous time. Any guarantees! Life is so unsteady!
